Frequently asked questions
Does this save my invoices?
No. The PDF is generated in your browser and downloaded straight to your device, so keep a copy yourself. If you tick “Remember my business details”, your own details, logo, currency, tax rate and notes are kept in this browser for next time; the client and line items never are.
Can I use my own invoice numbers?
Yes, the invoice number field is a plain text box: use your own numbering scheme, or keep the one generated for you.
Is there a limit on line items or invoices?
No limit either way. Add as many line items as you need, and generate as many invoices as you like.
Can I add my logo?
Yes. Use “Add your logo” in your business details and it’s placed at the top of the invoice. It stays in your browser, like everything else you type here.
Will this invoice be legally valid?
It has what most countries expect: a number, dates, both parties, line items and tax. But the rules differ by country: some require specific wording or a tax ID, and some are moving businesses to invoices sent through an approved e-invoicing platform (France, for one). Check the rules where you do business; this tool isn’t tax advice.
