Turn a logo into a vector
Rescue a small or blurry logo by tracing it into a crisp, scalable SVG.
Works best on flat artwork — logos, icons, line drawings, screenshots. Photographs can be traced too, but every shade becomes another shape, so expect a large file and a poster-like result rather than a faithful copy.
The usual situation: the only copy of a logo left is a 400 px PNG pulled off an old website, and it needs to go on a sign, a shirt or a letterhead. Tracing it into vector form is what makes that possible — and the sites that do this normally charge per image or per credit.
This page starts at four colours with tight tolerances and square corners kept square, because most logos really are two or three flat colours plus the background, and forcing that small palette is what produces crisp edges instead of a fuzzy outline.
If the source is blurry or has a drop shadow, raise “Remove specks” to drop the halo, and keep the colour count low — the temptation is to raise it, and it almost always makes the result worse.

Frequently asked questions
How good is the result from a low-resolution logo?
Usually far better than the original, because the tracer fits smooth outlines to the blocky edges. It is not magic: fine detail that is not in the pixels cannot be invented, and very small text in a logo will come out approximate.
The edges are fuzzy. What should I change?
Lower the colour count first — fuzziness is normally the tracer giving anti-aliased edge pixels their own colour band. Then raise “Remove specks”. Two colours on a plain background gives the sharpest possible result.
Can I edit the result?
Yes. The SVG is ordinary paths, so Inkscape (free), Illustrator, Figma or Affinity can all open it, recolour it and clean up individual points.
Will the text in my logo be real text again?
No — it becomes outlines shaped like the letters. That is actually how logos are usually supplied to printers, so it is rarely a problem, but you cannot retype the words.
Do I need to pay or sign up?
