Most of these tools run entirely in your browser: the image is decoded and re-encoded by your own device, which is why a batch of fifty photos is no slower than one and why nothing is uploaded. That includes iPhone HEIC photos, which are decoded locally.
Three tools use AI models too heavy for a phone — background removal, upscaling and object removal — and send your image to our own server for a few seconds, processed in memory and never stored. Each of those pages says exactly what is sent.
Start with the job, not the format: compressing to an exact size for a form, cropping to a social media shape, stripping the location out of a photo before posting it, or turning a logo into a favicon.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
Not for most tools, which process everything in your browser. The AI tools (background remover, upscaler, object remover) send a copy to our server, processed in memory and discarded.
Which formats can I open?
JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, GIF and BMP, plus SVG for the SVG converter. Output is JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF depending on the tool.
Is there a limit on file size or number of images?
No fixed limit. Batch tools take as many files as your device can hold in memory, and results can be downloaded as a ZIP.
Do the tools keep the photo’s colours?
Yes. Wide-gamut iPhone photos (Display P3) are kept in P3 where the browser supports it, so they don’t come out duller.
