Reading out a 20-character Wi-Fi password to every guest gets old. A Wi-Fi QR code does it in one scan: both iPhone and Android cameras recognise it and offer to join the network.

The password is written into the code, and generated entirely in your browser: it isn’t sent to any server to make the image.
How to use it

Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to put my Wi-Fi password in a QR code?
Anyone who scans the code can join the network, same as anyone you tell the password to. For visitors, a separate guest network is the tidy solution.
It doesn’t connect when scanned.
Check the network name matches exactly, capitals included, and the security type. Hidden networks need the “Hidden network” box ticked.
Which phones can scan it?
iPhones since iOS 11 and Android phones through the camera or the Wi-Fi settings’ QR option.
