Use a straight-on photo in even light, eyes open, neutral expression, nothing on your head. Then drag and zoom until your head fits between the two red lines.
Passport photo rules are oddly specific: not just the print size, but how tall your head has to be inside it and where your eyes should sit. Photo booths charge for exactly that arithmetic.
Pick your document and the frame appears with the guide lines drawn in. Drag and zoom your photo until the top of your head meets the upper line and your chin meets the lower one — that’s the requirement, in one move.
You get the single photo at the exact pixel size for 300 dpi printing, and a print sheet (10×15 cm, 13×18 cm or A4) with as many copies as fit and thin cutting guides, which any photo lab or home printer will handle.

Frequently asked questions
Will my photo definitely be accepted?
This tool gets the measurements right — size, resolution, head height and eye line. It cannot judge your expression, your glasses, shadows on the background, or whether you were smiling. Read your government’s own photo guidance, which is usually one page and very specific.
Can I take the photo with my phone?
Yes, and most people do. Stand about two metres from a plain wall, have someone hold the phone at your eye level, use daylight from the front rather than a window behind you, and avoid the ultra-wide lens, which distorts faces.
Which sizes are included?
United States (2 × 2 in), EU/Schengen and UK (35 × 45 mm), Canada (50 × 70 mm), India (51 × 51 mm), China visa (33 × 48 mm), Japan, Australia and a generic 25 × 35 mm ID photo.
How do I print it?
Download the print sheet and take that file to any photo lab or kiosk as a normal 10 × 15 cm print, then cut along the guides. At home, print it at 100% scale (no "fit to page") on photo paper.
Does my photo leave my device?
Only if you use the background replacement, which sends a small copy to our server for the cutout. The cropping, sizing and the print sheet all happen in your browser.
