Frequently asked questions
Can you open password-protected PDFs?
Not encrypted ones. Open the file with its password in your PDF reader and save an unprotected copy first.
Do merged or split PDFs keep bookmarks and links?
Yes. Bookmarks, internal links and form fields are carried across; links to pages that aren’t in the new file are removed rather than left broken.
Why didn’t the PDF compressor shrink my file much?
It recompresses embedded photos. If the size comes from fonts, vector drawings or images that are already efficient, there is little to gain.
Is there a page limit?
No. Large documents are limited only by your device’s memory, and page thumbnails load as you scroll.
