Flip or mirror an image
Mirror a picture horizontally or vertically — handy for selfies and scanned text.
Front cameras mirror what they see, which is why the text on your T-shirt reads backwards in a selfie. Flipping the photo horizontally puts the world back the way other people saw it.
Vertical flips are rarer but useful for scanned negatives, reflections, and designs that need a mirrored copy for printing or transfers.

Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between flipping and rotating?
Flipping mirrors the picture, so left and right (or top and bottom) swap — text becomes unreadable. Rotating turns it without mirroring, so text stays readable.
Will this fix a mirrored selfie?
Yes: flip it horizontally. That said, many phones already save selfies un-mirrored, so check before you flip.
Does flipping lose quality?
JPGs are re-encoded once at high quality; PNG and WebP are lossless. Flipping itself moves pixels around without altering them.
