Should screenshots be PNG or JPG?
Screenshots of text and interfaces look sharpest as PNG; screenshots of photos, games or video are far smaller as JPG with no visible loss.
Is JPG lower quality?
JPG is lossy, but at 90%+ quality the loss isn’t visible in photos. Sharp text and flat colours show artefacts sooner.
