Resize Image for a LinkedIn Banner (1584×396)
Get the perfect 1584×396 image for a LinkedIn banner in one click.
LinkedIn’s profile background is an extremely wide 4:1 banner, 1584 × 396 pixels. A normal photo loses most of its height to fit, which is why generic uploads often look like a random strip.
On desktop your round profile photo covers the lower left of the banner, and on mobile it sits in the middle. The safest area for a logo or text is the right-hand third.
A simple textured photo, a skyline or a brand colour block works better than a busy scene at this shape.
How to use it
- Drop in your image.
- Crop to fill the 4:1 banner.
- Download it and upload it as your LinkedIn background.
Frequently asked questions
Where does my profile photo cover the banner?
Bottom left on desktop, centre-bottom on mobile. Keep that area free of anything important.
Is there a banner size for company pages?
Company pages use a different cover size; this preset is for personal profiles.
Why is my banner blurry?
Usually because a small image was stretched to 1584 pixels wide. Start from a photo at least that wide.
