The LinkedIn banner is one of the few pieces of a profile you control completely, and most people leave it as the default blue. A line saying what you actually do, in type large enough to read on a phone, is worth more than any abstract pattern.
Two sizes: 1584 × 396 for a personal profile, 1128 × 191 for a company page.
Your profile photo covers the lower-left on desktop — roughly the first 15% — so keep words to the right of that, or centre them. The templates here already do.
How to use it

- Load a template and replace the name and the line underneath.
- Keep the text out of the lower-left, where your photo sits.
- Download the PNG and upload it from your profile.

Where does my profile photo sit?
Over the lower-left of the banner on desktop, covering roughly the left 15%. Mobile puts it lower-left too but crops the banner more, so the safest place for text is the centre-right.
What should the banner say?
What you do and who for, in a handful of words, plus a way to reach you if you are looking. Treat it as a headline, not wallpaper.
Is it cropped on mobile?
Yes, noticeably — the sides are trimmed. Anything near the far left or right may not be visible on a phone.
I just want an existing image resized to 1584 × 396.
