Remove line breaks from text
Fix text that arrived with a line break every 70 characters.
Text copied out of a PDF, an old email or a terminal arrives chopped into short lines. Pasted into a document it stays chopped, and fixing it by hand is miserable.
This rejoins those lines. The default keeps blank lines as paragraph breaks, which is almost always what you want: sentences flow again, paragraphs survive.
There are two harder options for the cases where you want every break gone, or where the text is one long block that shouldn’t have spaces inserted.

- Paste the broken text.
- Choose whether paragraphs are kept.
- Copy the cleaned-up text.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my PDF text have breaks everywhere?
A PDF stores lines as they are drawn on the page, not as sentences. Copying gives you the drawn lines, so every line of the page becomes a line of text.
Will it keep my paragraphs?
With the default option, yes — a blank line is treated as a paragraph break and kept, while breaks inside a paragraph are replaced by spaces.
Does it fix hyphenated words split across lines?
No, it joins lines rather than rewriting words. A search-and-replace for "- " afterwards handles most of those.
