Discord rejects anything over 10 MB on a free account, and the usual advice — "lower the quality and try again" — turns into a guessing game of exports.
This does the arithmetic instead. It works out the bitrate that fits your clip’s length into the limit, picks a sensible resolution for that bitrate, encodes once, and if the result still lands over the line it re-encodes with the miss corrected.
Long clips are the hard case: the same budget spread over more seconds means fewer bits per second. Trimming first always beats squeezing harder.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my video look soft afterwards?
Because the limit divided by the length left very few bits per second. Trim to the part you need, or accept the lower resolution — those are the only two levers.
What limits do the other platforms use?
Discord free is 10 MB, Nitro raises it. WhatsApp caps video around 16 MB, and email attachments are usually 25 MB. All of those are in the list.
Why does it sometimes encode twice?
Encoders aim at a bitrate rather than hitting a file size exactly. If the first pass overshoots the limit, the tool adjusts and runs once more.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Everything is encoded by your own browser, which is also why it takes a little while.
