Remove the sound from a video
Take the audio out of a video, keeping the picture exactly as it is.

The picture isn’t re-encoded. The video packets are copied straight into a new file without the audio track, so it’s quick even for long clips and the quality is bit-for-bit identical.

Frequently asked questions
Does muting reduce the video quality?
No. The picture is copied across untouched; only the audio track is left out.
Why is it so much faster than compressing?
Because nothing is re-encoded. Removing a track is a container operation — it rewrites the packaging, not the content.
Can I replace the sound with music instead?
Not here. This tool removes; adding a new soundtrack is a video-editing job.
